I love Dr Yan dental care. So glad we switched. I have had to have extensive dental work in the past so a little nervous but they are very understanding. Take the time to answer all my questions and address my concerns regarding my ancient implants. I love they have fluoride flavours other than mint bubblegum and cherry…I highly recommend the pina colda. Staff is all super excellent too.

I recently visited Dr. Yan’s dental office for an examination and was charged $108. Before my appointment, the receptionist informed me that an exam with X-rays might cost about $34 extra in addition to what CDCP covers. When I arrived, I filled out the forms, but because the staff were concerned I might be pregnant, no X-rays were taken. The dentist simply used a light to look at my teeth and said there were no major issues. Despite this, I was still billed $108 for the visit. After CDCP coverage, I was required to pay an additional $28.29 out of pocket. At the time, I was in a hurry and did not question the charges. However, after reviewing the bill later, I realized the cost seemed excessive. No X-rays were performed, and the dentist only did a very brief check with a light, yet the fee was still so high. I feel that this clinic’s billing practices are unreasonable and not transparent. Patients deserve a clear explanation of charges, especially when services like X-rays are not performed.
