I had a great experience working with Hugo and American Home Contractors. The communication, from scheduling to the crew coming out for the repairs, was top-notch, and everyone I interacted with was professional and respectful. Hugo fixed a sagging soffit, replaced the capping, replaced gutters that were too short on both sides of my house, and installed a downspout. All of the work was high-quality.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH American Home Contractors (AHC). Similar to other negative reviews, we had our roof replaced by AHC. We settled on using AHC based on their status as an “elite installer” by the shingle manufacturer, GAF. Their salesman (Tyler) made numerous promises and we were very thorough in documenting everything to be done, including sheathing repair and proper flashing installation. In summary, AHC did one of the worst roofing and flashing jobs I have ever seen on my home (note: I grew up in a construction family). We contacted the manufacturer GAF to file a claim shortly after the install date and GAF sent out a claims inspector. The inspector explained that it was one of the worst jobs he had ever seen in the Northern VA area. He provided AHC with a punch list that they needed to be remediated immediately. Despite my reluctance to let them complete the repairs, GAF explained that the initial installer needed to do the repairs, so I agreed. Well, AHC refused to complete some of the repairs noted by GAF, mainly the rear flashing on the back of my home. Then, they told GAF that they did, in fact, replace the flashing, BUT THEY DID NOT! We explained that we have photographic evidence to prove that the flashing was never repaired and brought up to the GAF standard. We have had a leaking roof for quite some time after the repairs and are left to find another company to make the repairs. Below are some photos of their shotty work along with the punch list from GAF citing their deficiencies. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. DON’T LET THEIR GOOD REVIEWS FOOL YOU LIKE THEY DID TO ME!
