Customer experiences
Overall a good shopping center, but I felt there wasn't enough variety of stores for that location. In the end, it gives the impression of something like a “central shopping center in the city center,” but inside there seems to be a lot of unused empty space. There is a corridor to an office building and a hotel from that mall. And as others wrote here in reviews, there is a very good food court here.
Scotia Square is a very convenient spot in downtown Halifax with a good variety of shops, services, and food options under one roof. It’s great for grabbing a quick bite, running errands, or just staying warm in winter while walking through downtown. The food court has lots of choices and it’s handy having pharmacies, banks, and even some government services right there. On the downside, it does get crowded at times, and unfortunately there are often issues with homeless individuals hanging around inside, sometimes causing a bit of a nuisance or even stealing from stores. Security staff seem to do what they can, but mostly they’re limited to asking people to leave, which doesn’t always solve the problem. Overall, it’s a practical mall with lots of essential services, but it would definitely be more comfortable if these safety concerns were better addressed.
Best mall to do all of your purchases and make travel arrangements, it has restaurants like thai, indian, Lebanese, chinese and fast food restaurants like a&w, subway, and etc. Also, coffeeshops Starbucks and tim are there. Its really close to the hotel halifax. There are paid parking available if you want to park your cars.
We didn't spend much time here. A few nice stores. Would not go out of my way to visit.
