I've been going here since 2005. They had the best nurses in the business working there. I'm not sure exactly what happened but the one there now doesn't seem to care about people who come to this office. She told me that it takes one or two months to get a prior authorization. I work in Healthcare and know that it takes 5 minutes. When I raised this concern to my PCP. I found out that she either by incompetence or on purpose she made it get denied by leaving out the diagnosis. Now I'm stuck with nurse that plays games with my health. I am looking for a new provider and I don't recommend this place to anyone until they find a competent nurse.

I loved my doctor here. She recently left and I'm currently being assigned a new PCP. In the meantime, I have biopsy results in my medical portal that no one will interpret for me. Having a serious medical history, it's completely unacceptable to make a patient wait for results.

One of the worst medical center I have ever been to. They made me to wait so long even though I have my appointment and I am on time. They didn’t follow up after my test results so many times nor did they diagnose my issue properly. I don’t know that they prescribed me some medications until I asked them about it after three months. The physicians I met, don’t even know what medicines to prescribe and they were googling the symptoms. They don’t follow up or send reminders about your appointment. Very disappointed with their service and I am planning to change my primary health center now.

Cas’s Life

Drs are dismissive, you never get to see your pcp nor responses on the my upmc app. Refuses referrals to specialists when no Lyme literate drs are available there. Between Shea and the Shadyside ER I was given the wrong treatment for six months . I have endoscopies I had colonoscopies I had ultrasounds both inner and outer I had scans done, it took one trip to UPMC East ER to be diagnosed with Lyme disease. I am now drowning in medical debt Due to how long and how many tests were ran along with the debt from the incorrect treatment
