Customer experiences
Amazing location, on the water and walking distance to everything. Room was comfy and had everything we needed to include fleece lined robes. We opted for the jacuzzi on the balcony. Wonderful way to relax after a long day. Celebrating birthdays and recieved a complimentary bottle of wine! Such a nice surprise. Would come back anytime! Highly recommend.
Had a wonderful stay at Harborside while hiking Acadia NP during peak autumn season. Zoe at the front desk was pleasantly helpful at check in and Anna in housekeeping accommodated my special requests. The room was comfortable and clean. My view of the harbor included the pool in the foreground, and was quiet and relaxing. Luxurious robes were nice-to-have. Alyssa at the spa was very focused on finding the right type of treatment. Dinner at the restaurant bar was very well prepared and included generous portions. Bartender Ray Ray was delightful and attentive. Parking was easy and there was always a friendly doorman greeting the guests. The lobby is warm and inviting. If I would change one thing, it would be the bright lighting in the hallways.
This hotel was excellent. The parking was free and easy. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location couldn’t have been better, even if the hotel sucked (It did not) we’d stay there next time just for the location. You can walk to every restaurant and shop in a few minutes and hike a ton a great Acadia trails with a ten minute drive. The amenities were not at all expected in Maine. The heated pool, spa, common areas and especially the lobby were all great. The room was a decent size, clean and up to date. The free, clean, not in a basement laundry rooms were such a bonus. Gym was also nice. Pay extra for a room with a view, it’s worth it.
We have been enjoying the Harborside for the last four years and are already looking forward to our visit next year! The location is perfect...close to everything, but a bit away from downtown so able to enjoy everything Bar Harbor has to offer along with the serenity of being on the water. From the front desk to housekeeping to bellman to room service, the staff are warm, friendly, and make the entire stay so welcoming. The rooms are luxurious and spacious and have all of the comforts of home. The resort is pet friendly and our pups love the Harborside as much as we do. The restaurant/room service offer a diverse menu and the lobster ravioli are divine. Highly recommend the Harborside!
